Hill & Ford, CPAs, announce that Lynn S. Kupper, CPA, has become a shareholder in the firm, which she joined in 2002. She will focus on complex tax planning and compliance and will continue to provide clients with customized accounting solutions. Her other areas of expertise include resolution of IRS tax controversies, payroll reporting and consulting and QuickBooks accounting solutions. She also manages and trains the accounting staff.

Lorraine Pullido
The City of San Antonio Metropolitan Health District welcomes Lorraine Pullido, Ph.D., as the new public relations manager for MetroHealth. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, she earned a master’s degree at Columbia and a doctorate at Our Lady of the Lake University. Before joining the City of San Antonio, she was director of marketing and public relations for the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center.

Kathryn McCormick
Kathryn McCormick is the new Development Services and Neighborhood Revitalization Officer for the San Antonio Housing Authority. She brings 20 years of housing development experience, having served most recently in Santa Fe, N.M., and Boulder, Colo. She will oversee SAHA’s efforts in new construction, modernization and preservation of existing housing, sustainable and green initiatives and risk management. She completed executive training in housing and community development at Harvard.

Founder and president of Zeitgeist Wellness Group, Dr. Patricia Adams was chosen one of 18 San Antonio Inspiring Texas Women by Sterling Bank for her growth and mentoring initiatives.. Additionally, Enterprising Women magazine named Dr. Adams a winner of the 2011 Enterprising Women of the Year Award for companies with between $5 million and $10 million in sales worldwide.

Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas has appointed Angela Alvarado as chief financial officer. Alvarado oversees a $5.7 million budget as well as all human resources, financial and retail operations. Previously, Alvarado served as senior auditor at Akin, Doherty, Klein & Feuge, PC. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Laura Blue
Nix Health recently named Laura Blue as senior care coordinator. Blue is responsible for coordinating patient care within the Nix Senior Care Clinic, as well as advocating for patients throughout the continuum of care and long-term care facilities. She also coordinates and maintains communication with physicians, nurses, discharge planners, community resources and partners to ensure timely and appropriate patient care.

Angie Mock has been named chief executive officer of the San Antonio Boys & Girls Clubs. She served as a strategic planning consultant for both non-profit and for-profit organizations in San Antonio and throughout the country. Additionally, she created an earned-income model for a collaboration of five nonprofit organizations to serve over 2,000 abused children annually through The Healing Arts Project.
